Mineola HS Clubs and Organizations-

Anchor Club - This is a service organization for high school students sponsored by the Pilot Club of Mineola. High school students who scholastically qualify with good character and leadership ability and so certified by school officials are eligible for membership.
Art Club - Students will participate in learning about many different types of art and get the opportunity to experience hands-on art projects..
Band - The Jacket Band strives to further the musical background of the members and to present a well-rounded music program to the public through concerts and football game performances. In addition, the band also participates in Interscholastic League competition. Membership is open to interested and qualified students who have musical training.
Cheerleading - Cheerleading provides qualified team members with the opportunity to lead our school in many ways, including encouraging and supporting our athletes, increasing school pride, and motivating community members at school-sponsored athletic events. Participation in cheer requires training, tryouts, and selection by a committee of impartial judges. If selected, there is also a required fee of $500. Fellowship of Christian Athletes - FCA - This organization is open to all students, whether enrolled in athletics or not. The purpose is to present to students, athletes and coaches and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the Church. FCA is a student led organization.
Family Career Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) - The ultimate leadership experience! It is unique among youth organizations because its programs are planned and run by members. It is the only career and technical in-school student organization with the family as its central focus. Participation in national programs and chapter activities helps members become strong leaders in their families, careers, and communities. Membership is open to any students who are currently or have been enrolled in a Family and Consumer class.
Future Farmers of America (FFA) - FFA is an intracurricular student organization for those interested in agriculture and leadership. These letters are a part of our history and our heritage that will never change. But FFA is not just for students who want to be production farmers; FFA also welcomes members who aspire to careers as teachers, doctors, scientists, business owners and more.
HOSA Future Health Professionals - HOSA provides a unique program of leadership development, motivation, and recognition exclusively for secondary, postsecondary, adult, and collegiate students enrolled in health science education or have interests in pursuing careers in health professions. HOSA is 100% health care!
Junior Historians - Founded April 21, 1997, they assist the City of Mineola Landmark Commission with its projects. Their goals are historical education and preservation. The group dedicated its 15th state historical marker this past year
Key Club - The Key Club is a service organization for high school students sponsored by the Kiwanis Club. High school students who scholastically qualify with good character and leadership ability and so certified by school officials are eligible for membership.
National Honor Society - The National Honor Society is a national honorary organization whose purpose is to promote high standards of academic achievement. Membership in this organization is an honor bestowed upon students who excel in scholarship, leadership, character, and service. Students in grades 10, 11, and 12 will be considered for membership.
Robotics Club - Students will learn how to build, program and manipulate robots.
Spanish Club - Students will learn about the Spanish culture and participate in cultural events throughout the year.
Student Council - The purpose of the Student Council is to serve as a liaison between students and administration and to provide meaningful contributions toward the overall enhancement of school life. The Student Council is responsible for initiating any request for any high school "all school" socials. The request should be in writing and presented to the principal by the Student Council sponsor or Student Council President. The Council will consist of officers elected by school-wide vote and class representatives.
Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE) - This organization focuses its time on preparing students for a future in education. members will spend time visiting classrooms and learning about what it takes to enter the profession.
Texas High School Bass Fishing Association – The bass fishing club members will compete in teams of two, along with a boat captain, in at least five local bass fishing tournaments against other high school students. Winners of tournaments may be eligible for college scholarships.
