2024 - 2025 PROCEDURES
Instructional Day 7:45 - 3:25:
The instructional day begins at 7:45, please have your student to school in plenty of time to be in their classroom at 7:45. Teachers will be greeting students beginning at 7:40. Tardies begin at 7:50, so please do your best to have students to school on time. Our goal is to preserve instructional time for all students and teachers. Visitors, volunteers, and parents need to have a scheduled appointment before entering the hallways.
Absences:
If you student is absent, please call the primary office or use the Absent Notice on our website/app. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeK33WYP8SH7m3Zr1URCtibS5zpTfZNnUaLif1VaoPOVEes_A/viewform
Early Dismissals/Dismissal:
Early Dismissals are permitted before 2:45. After this time, students will not be released early (unless it is an emergency). Our goal is to give teachers and students their closure for the end of the day and minimize interruptions to instruction. This also allows us time to get transportation changes communicated to classrooms.
Dismissal will be at 3:25. Car riders will dismiss at the front and back of the school. Head Start/PreK/Kindergarten will dismiss in front of the primary school and first, second, and third will dismiss in back of the middle school. Please have your student's name tag visible in your car window. Refrain from coming into the building or to the porch to pick up your student - we will not release them, except through the car line and to a car.
Students with three or more tardies and three or more early pickups will not be eligible for attendance celebrations each nine weeks.
Access to School Building:
In order to provide a safe and orderly environment, all parents, volunteers, and visitors are required to scan their driver's license in the front office and receive an ID badge before accessing the school building. Please check in with the school receptionist to receive your badge.
Deliveries:
If your student needs an item delivered (backpack, lunchbox, tennis shoes, etc….) please drop the items in the office. While occasional deliveries are necessary, please be mindful one of our core character traits is responsibility, please work with your child on having all they need upon arrival. Lunch visitors and lunch deliveries (such as Whataburger, McDonalds, or other restaurants) will only be accepted on Fridays, beginning after Labor Day. Please do not bring lunch for students other than your own. We will do our best to make sure students receive their deliveries, but cannot guarantee delivery.
Conferences:
To schedule a conference with your student's teacher, please email your teacher or call the school at (903) 569-5488.
