Severe Weather Prepardness
Mineola ISD is committed to proactive severe weather preparedness to protect students, staff, and visitors across all campuses. The district uses the Perry Weather monitoring system to provide real-time alerts and data-driven forecasts tailored to each campus location.
In addition, MISD has trained storm spotters on staff who work in coordination with local meteorologists, the National Weather Service (NWS), and emergency management partners to closely monitor weather conditions. This multi-layered approach ensures that the district can make informed decisions quickly and activate safety protocols when severe weather threatens.
Through continuous monitoring and preparedness training, MISD is dedicated to maintaining a safe environment in all weather conditions.
