This Thursday, we will host a meeting for 8th grade parents. This meeting will be led by Christy's Safe Haven. Christy’s Safe Haven is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting positive youth development and strengthening families. Their mission is to address issues that can hinder healthy family growth and empower children to make responsible choices. They will be partnering with us to offer a training on sensitive topics. This presentation will give you the opportunity to ask questions and be informed of what will be covered in the student training. Please note — parents must opt in for their student to participate.
We will also be covering end of middle school topics such as attendance, grades, CTE choices and end of year activities. (Due to the sporting events on Thursday, we will live stream and record the meeting on our Facebook page!)

The middle school yearbook staff and Content Creations teams have been hard at work on an Instagram page that will provide information on what's happening each week at the middle school, player spotlights, details on purchasing yearbooks, and bloopers from morning announcements. Participation is completely voluntary. Attendance is not required, and the event is organized and led by students. We encourage families to talk with their children about whether they’d like to attend.
Mrs. Baker's STEM & Robotics classes participated in the Marshmallow Tower Challenge where each team was challenged to build a tower taller than the competition that would support a marshmallow. The teams had to accomplish the goal using only 20 sticks of spaghetti, 1 yard of string, and 1 yard of tape. The classes learned that triangles were excellent shapes for building and that it was much easier to accomplish the goal when they worked together as a team!
This week at MMS we will celebrate "It starts with Hello!" It only takes a “hello” to change someone’s day. 💚 We’re proud to support Sandy Hook Promise’s Start With Hello initiative to end social isolation and build a culture of kindness. We will have designated dress up days to support a different theme each day!
Good morning! Today is our first pep rally! Our pep rally is at 12:10 and combined lunch is at 12:40. You are welcome to attend the pep rally! Be sure to bring your drivers license to check in. Check in will begin at 11:45. Please call the office if you have any questions!

Starting in the month of September-Parents are invited to lunch on Thursdays instead of Fridays. This is also the day you can bring outside food in for lunch. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday will be closed lunch with no outside food drop offs. Thank you for your understanding!!!
To clarify - Schedules will be available for pick up tonight in the middle school gym. If your schedule is not there, it may be due to incomplete registration. This can be resolved in our offices tomorrow morning. Thank you!
