JANICE ETHERIDGE

(current term May, 2022 - May, 2025)

etheridgej@mineolaisd.net

It is with great anticipation that I begin my service as a Trustee of  the Mineola ISD School Board.  I look forward to serving the students, faculty and parents of our district.

I received my education from both public and private schools, colleges and universities. I graduated from Dallas Baptist University in 2001. I received a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences. My major was Communications. Upon graduation, I accepted a corporate job at Southland Corporation and started working there. I soon realized that I was not interested in the corporate world and was drawn to education. I obtained a teaching job in Early Childhood and began the process of getting an Emergency Certification through ECAP. I did all that was necessary to become a certified teacher. Lifetime certification was no longer offered upon completion of my program  so I spend 30 hours a year at Region 7 to stay current with the latest and greatest ways to help educate students and maintain my certification.

I have been a teacher in both Arlington and Mansfield, Texas. I also drove a school bus for Mansfield.  I have been a substitute teacher for many years.

I truly care for all students and am committed to doing what is in their best interest.  May I serve this district in wisdom and humility.

”Your kids are my concern.”
