Blended Learning

Mineola ISD was named a Blended Learning site beginning in the 2016-2017 school year. With the help of the RYHT provided consultants and resources, our staff and administrators were able to mold our vision of personalized Blended Learning for MISD.

Grant

In 2018, MISD was awarded a grant from TEA in the amount of $500,000 to work towards a designation of being a Math Innovation Zone. We earned that designation after one year of implementation, and with that came an additional nearly $100,000.

Blended Learning

TEA awarded MISD another grant to plan a pilot in blended learning in a content other than math. Locally renamed LIZ (Literacy Innovation Zone), this award of $125,000 will train and support teachers in bringing the blended learning model to the areas of reading and writing.
