Friendly reminders for STAAR testing: MMS Campus will be closed to visitors on STAAR test dates, April 25th, April 27th, May 2nd, and May 9th. By working together, we can make your child’s testing experience positive and successful. Please help us by making sure your child gets a good night’s rest, eats a healthy breakfast and arrives at school on time. Also, please encourage your child to take the test seriously and to do their absolute best.
Super proud of our awesome MS band students as they competed in their Solo contest and brought home many awards!! Out of the 167 students (6th/7th/8th graders) that participated, our students earned 137 (1st Division) medals and 30 (2nd Division) medals as well. This is a new record for most medals ever received at a Solo Contest. Congratulations MS band for a great day and contest in Grand Saline!! The future looks bright for the Sound of the Swarm!!

Builders Club members were excited to present Mineola Kiwanis Club with a check for $500 from their fundraising efforts to purchase shades for Mineola Splash Park. Way to go, Builders Club and Mr. Yates!
Attention 8th grade parents! We will have a meeting, Monday, April 3rd at 6:00 in the Middle School cafeteria to begin the planning of the 8th grade dance. The 8th grade dance is scheduled for May 12th. We look forward to seeing you on April 3rd as we begin planning for the celebration of our 8th graders!
Attn: 8th Grade! Baby photos are needed for the 8th grade end of year slideshow. Spring Break would be a good time to look for your favorite picture and bring it back to school with you! You may submit more than one group photo but only ONE baby picture is needed. They can also be e-mailed to bakerd@mineolaisd.net.
