Just to remind everyone that picture day is Tuesday, October 11th -- the same day as Hawaiian spirit day. You may choose to wear Hawaiian that day and change for photos or not. Just be aware that it is picture day and dress accordingly. :)

Next week is Homecoming! Students are invited to dress up around daily themes to show their school spirit. Tuesday, October 11th is Hawaiian Day, Wednesday, October 12th is Disney Day. Thursday, October 13th is Squad Day. Friday, October 14th is ORANGE OUT Day -- it will also be an Early Release Day.

School picture day is October 11th! Here's a few tips on what to wear: A simple, solid color to make you stand out against the background -- no shirts with logos, pictures, or witty sayings... or anything super trendy! Those will distract people from your face.

On Wednesday, October 26th, we will be giving the PSAT 8/9 test on the middle school campus. The cost is $14.00 and the test is available to 8th grade students. The PSAT 8/9 allows students to practice and prepare for the SAT. It gives them an opportunity to work on timed tests since they tend to struggle with the time constraints of the SAT and ACT. In addition, the PSAT corresponds directly to the SAT, and with the results, you will receive information on how to continue to prepare for the SAT based on your student’s scores.
If you would like for your son or daughter to take the PSAT 8/9, please have him or her come by the counselor’s office to sign up by Oct 21st . Please make checks payable to Mineola Middle School. Space is limited, so students should sign up soon. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at 903-569-5338.

Join us at 7:30 a.m. this Wednesday for prayer at the pole. See you at the pole! #syatp22
