We are thankful for those that rushed into harms way to save lives and those that served in the military during the War on Terror to keep us safe. Please join us in showing your respect and appreciation.
Tonight we will be honoring all of our First Responders and Military Servicemen and Women before our home football game against West Rusk. Gates open at 6:30 p.m.

Dear Parent/Guardian,
In keeping with Mineola ISD's practices to respond to COVID-19, we are notifying our school community that an employee at Mineola Middle School has received a lab-confirmed positive test for COVID-19. Due to privacy requirements, we will not be releasing the name of our employee. We were notified of the lab confirmed positive test on Tuesday morning. Our employee was last on campus Friday, August 18th, 2020.
We will continue to work closely with our local health department on this matter and all departments within our District. After a careful review, one student at Mineola Middle School was quarantined due to meeting the definition of close contact as prescribed by the Texas Education Agency's Public Health Guidance. The health and safety of our students and staff remain our top priority.
All of our campuses at Mineola ISD continue to be cleaned daily and additional cleaning is provided to all classrooms in which an employee or student has been if a lab-confirmed positive test is received. To this date, the case count involving Mineola ISD Employees and Students are as follows:
6 Positive Employee Cases - 4 Recovered, 2 Active
4 Positive Student Cases- 4 Active
As a reminder, wearing a face covering and social distancing helps us limit the number of students required to quarantine as defined by TEA's guidance on close contact.
As always, we will keep you apprised of any further updates.
Our best,
Cody Mize
Superintendent of Schools

Dear Parent/Guardian,
In keeping with Mineola ISD's practices to respond to COVID-19, we are notifying our school community that a student at Mineola Elementary School and an employee of Mineola Elementary School have received lab-confirmed positive tests for COVID-19. Due to privacy requirements, we will not be releasing the name of the student or the employee. We were notified of the lab-confirmed positive tests late Friday evening and early Saturday morning. Our employee was last on campus Tuesday, August 25th and our student was last on campus Wednesday, August 26th.
We will continue to work closely with our local health department on this matter and all departments within our District. After a careful review, 4 students at Mineola Elementary School have been quarantined due to meeting the definition of close contact as prescribed by the Texas Education Agency's Public Health Guidance. To our knowledge, none of these individuals have experienced any symptoms related to COVID-19, but the health and safety of our students and staff remain our top priority.
All of our campuses at Mineola ISD continue to be cleaned daily. To this date, the case count involving Mineola ISD Employees and Students are as follows:
5 Positive Employee Cases - 4 Recovered, 1 Active
4 Positive Student Cases- 4 Active
As a reminder, wearing a face covering and social distancing helps us limit the number of students required to quarantine as defined by TEA's guidance on close contact. Also, rapid advances in COVID testing are helping our students and employees lessen the amount of time spent in quarantine if their close contact occurs from someone outside of their home. Please see the information provided for more testing options for COVID-19.
As always, we will keep you apprised of any further updates.
Our best,
Cody Mize
