Just a few reminders as we head into the weekend...
1.) On Monday, December 13th at 6:00 p.m., the Mineola ISD Board of Trustees will meet for their monthly meeting. This meeting will take place at the Mineola ISD Administration Building in the Boardroom. The very first item of business will be a Demographic Report presented to the District and Community concerning potential growth in the Mineola Independent School District. This report is the third part of a series of studies the District has conducted over the last several months concerning facilities and financial analysis.
2.) Friday, December 17th will be an Early Release Day in the District for all students and staff. Car riders will be dismissed at 12:00 noon and bus riders will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m. on that day. This will mark the conclusion of the Fall Semester.

Congratulations to Melisia Foster on being selected as the Career and Technology Association of Texas Area 3 Counselor of the Year. Area 3 consists of over 150 school districts in East and Northeast Texas.
Thank you Mrs. Foster for all that you do for the students of MHS.
We hope to see you at 5:00 p.m. as we cut the ribbon and open our newest facility at Mineola ISD. We will gather in front of the new band hall addition.

Congratulations to our Varsity Boys on their win over Van this evening in non-district play.
Today marks the 80th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor. We are thankful to the Greatest Generation and their willingness to serve in the face of adversity and the Mineola High School graduates who joined their ranks.

The Texas Education Agency recently released their annual report of the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas. This report provides the general public an overview of your local school district’s financial practices.
We are happy to report that Mineola ISD received another Superior Rating “A” and received a score of 100 out of 100 possible points.
We are thankful to Mr. William Bjork, Chief Financial Officer, and his team for the outstanding work that they do managing our District’s finances.
We hope that all of our students, faculty, staff, and parents have a great Thanksgiving Holiday. We are truly blessed!
