The Mineola Education Foundation continues to make a powerful impact in Mineola ISD—and it’s just one more reason why Mineola is a great place to educate your children and call home!

This year, $105,300 in grants were awarded to support innovative teacher ideas that enhance classroom instruction across our district. These grants empower our educators to create engaging, hands-on learning experiences that make a lasting difference for our students.

From cutting-edge technology to creative classroom projects, the Foundation’s support strengthens our schools and invests directly in the success of our faculty, staff, and students.

We are proud to be a community that believes in Learning Today, Leading Tomorrow—and shows it through meaningful support for public education.

Good afternoon, everyone!

Thank you for your patience and flexibility as you navigated dismissal at the Middle School and Intermediate this afternoon. One classroom's HVAC unit had an electrical issue, which was resolved by the Maintenance Department. A special thank you to the Mineola Fire Department for their assistance this afternoon as well.

Buses are currently running a few minutes behind schedule, and car rider dismissal is finishing up now at the Middle School. If your child has left items in the classroom or their locker, please feel free to stop by tomorrow to pick them up. Students do not have school throughout the District tomorrow due to Parent/Teacher Conference Day, as scheduled on our District Calendar.

Thank you again for all of your support and flexibility at an already hectic part of the day.

Last Saturday, Mr. Gavin Foster and Mr. Cody Mize successfully completed the FAA Part 107 Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) Primer Course in preparation for the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Licensing Exam.

Through a partnership with Jarvis Christian University, Mineola ISD students aged 16 and older will soon have the opportunity to earn certification as sUAS Remote Pilots in Command, opening doors to high-demand career pathways.

Since DJI introduced the first consumer drone in 2013, the unmanned aircraft industry has expanded into a $300 billion global market, with projected annual growth of 16.4%. From agricultural services to infrastructure inspection and package delivery, the demand for certified Remote Pilots in Command continues to rise.

This initiative represents the next step in Mineola ISD’s commitment to providing students with industry-recognized certifications that prepare them for long-term careers in an evolving economy.
