Good morning everyone! The 2021 Yellowjacket Football Season is right around the corner. Starting on Monday-Friday of next week from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. each day, Season Tickets will be available for purchase. You may also order over the telephone during those hours by calling the Administration Building at (903) 569-2448. Also, we have had lots of questions concerning the live streaming of Yellowjacket Football and Lady Jackets Volleyball. We will be streaming all 10 Yellowjacket football games and 10 Lady Jacket volleyball games, as well as all playoff games for both sports this Fall. Good evening everyone! The Athletic Department will be hosting a Parent Meeting tomorrow evening (Tuesday, July 27th) at 6:00 p.m. in the Middle School Cafeteria. Please make plans to join if your child is participating in athletics for the 2021-2022 school year. Also, directly after the Parent Meeting, a meeting of the Athletic Booster Club will be conducted at 6:30 p.m.. We need as many volunteers as possible to help make this a successful year for our athletes and coaches. Thank you in advance!

Media Release: Mineola Independent School District announces that this school year, healthy meals will be offered every school day to all students at no cost. Typically, a student’s household must meet income eligibility requirements to qualify for free or reduced-price meals. However, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) issued guidance that allows schools to offer meals to all students at no cost for the 2021- 2022 school year. Each school/site or central office has a copy of the policy, which may be reviewed upon request. While no application or eligibility determination process is required for your student to receive free meals this school year, the income eligibility requirement will likely resume in the 2022-2023 school year. Distrito Escolar Independiente de Mineola anunció hoy su política de que, en este año escolar, se ofrecerán comidas saludables a todos los estudiantes sin costo alguno en todos los días escolares. Por lo general, el hogar de un estudiante debe cumplir con los requisitos de elegibilidad de ingresos para calificar para recibir comidas gratuitas o a precio reducido. Sin embargo, el Departamento de Agricultura de los Estados Unidos (USDA, por sus siglas en inglés), emitió una guía que permite a las escuelas ofrecer comidas a todos los estudiantes sin costo alguno para el año escolar 2021-2022. Cada escuela/centro u oficina central tiene una copia de la política, que puede ser revisada bajo petición. Si bien no se requiere ninguna solicitud o proceso de determinación de elegibilidad para que su estudiante reciba comidas gratuitas este año escolar, el requisito de elegibilidad de ingresos probablemente se reanudarán en el año escolar 2022-2023.

The Kindergarten-4th Grade and 5th and 6th Grade groups had a great time at volleyball camp! Just a reminder, Volleyball Camp for 7th and 8th Graders will be tomorrow (Wednesday, June 23rd) and Thursday, June 24th at 10:30 a.m. -12:00 noon in the High School Gym.

The Mineola ISD Special Called Board Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, June 22 at 6:00 p.m. has been cancelled and will be rescheduled for later in the summer. This future meeting will continue the work that has been started in Strategic Planning, Vision Statement, Mission Statement, and Core Values of our organization.
